M-o-1: Does this explain Tuesday's announcement?

PS: This blog is dedicated to Kenya's business environment, but business can't operate and grow unless the political arena and GoK operates and creates a clean environment free from corruption. One where every Kenyan is knowledgeable enough and given unequal and an impeded opportunity to realise their potential.

Please bear that in mind as you read this attachment mostly from the work done by Kroll. The Guardian has a summarised version as does Wikileaks. https://secure.wikileaks.org/leak/KTM_report.pdf

Kroll are so trusted in the West that virtually every financial and consultancy business uses them to vet incoming employees.
Although some of the information is based on hearsay, note there is also a large % based on factual evidence e.g. property/loan records that is easily verifiable. Its also a useful record for Kenyans who pay taxes, but rarely get to know how its spent.

Maina,
Give it another 5 yrs and you'll be reading another report about the ills of the Kibaki government. Like I said before, only the players have been changed. Corruption still reigns high in the govt and that is why Githongo took off.

Talking about Githongo, I see his hand in the release of this report. It's meant to take off the air from Moi's announcement. It would not surprise me if Githongo fires more salvos from his hideout.

This is why we need a CLEAN president who was NEVER part of previous governments.

Or those candidates who are willing to bare all they have for scrutiny.

To me today has to be the day Kenyans say enough-(Daily Nation has done everybody a favor and copied and pasted most of the report). Although a lot of this info has been known, Kenyans will hopefully realise just how much they have been losing by sticking their heads in the sand or via chronic amnesia.
Kibaki, Raila, Kalonzo are not going to rescue Kenya, after all, they are tainted with corruption through their deeds or associations.

But Kenyans and God will.

Whao! Hongera to Nation for bringing this out with all the details, didnt expect them to do so.

By the way kulei's son is well known amongst kenyans in london for driving a Bentley and attending a posh school in surrey. Kumbe its my and your money this guy has been splashing around. I noticed nation went as far as revealing the family address.

I think the content of this report and others likely to come before the election should be the turning point for the kenyan mwananchi to do away with the corrupt and their associates.

John, don't tell me that those boys are spinning a bentley. I've seen them a couple of times with their mom in London. But the mum used to drive a normal car. I can't even recall the make. It's been a while since I last spotted them at KT.

Quite shocking But most of the facts have been in the public whispers for a while.

With the benefit of a weekend to digest this thing and calm down, one has to ask so what should be done next. There are 3 camps
"The head stuck in the sand camp": I suspect many Kenyans, especially those suffering from Kibakititis will say its Githongo and his UK masters who have done this to spite this thug because he said he will support Kibz. Well? To them I say remember the the desperation of late 80s and most of the 90s when tea/coffee/milk weren't being sold while this thug was plotting how to send your money abroad.
The 2nd camp is the "Kenyans are corrupt". Well, if they jailed this thug and his associates, si Kenyans would turn to other vices?
The final camp is the one in the minority that says something must and should be done. I for one says lets freeze all his banks accounts/businesses and take over his houses/farms in Kenya pending his depositing at least £0.5bn of that at Banki Kuu ya Kenya. We can then do the same to the sons and total man.

The heart-wrenching saddest thing is that the only thing that will probably happen is Mars Group and few activists will do a demonstration next week while Kenyans go back to the usual Railatitis, Kibz iz our Reander nonsense.
