Who owns what at the NSE

http://www.eastandard.net/archives/sunday/hm_news/news.php?articleid=18216. Although the article is talking about foreign ownership of NSE listed companies, I thought it useful for our records as it has a little bit of information on Sasini, Limuru Tea, Kapchorua Tea and Williamson Tea.

It still irks me that after all these years there are still Kenyans who think equities are a bad investment

Its more a misunderstanding or just lack of knowledge about what stock investment is all about. For me, I wish I had started eearlier than '02 as I'd now be doing something less strenous than staring at Dells and Bill Gates products all day.

EA Standard thrives on cheap sensationalism... after all it is owned by former kanu bigshots...

The ultimate majority owners are Kenyans (albeit thieves)... but their interests are held through foreign corporations!

As far as EABL is concerned, Kenyans shied away from the Rights & Scrip dividends when EABL was struggling. Diageo invested when EABL really needed the cash!
